MEMBERSHIP

Thank you for your interest in the Lake Superior Medical Society! 

ELIGIBLITY REQUIREMENTS:

To be eligible, you must reside in the Lake Superior Region, and be a:

  • Physician with a license to practice medicine in Minnesota, or
  • Retired Physician, or
  • Resident Physician enrolled in an accredited residency program, or
  • Medical Student enrolled in Minnesota

DUES:

Please contact the office at 218-727-3325 to determine your annual dues.

MINNESOTA MEDICAL ASSOCIATION:

When you join the LSMS, you also join the Minnesota Medical
Association (MMA). We are a component unit of the MMA, all
members must maintain unified membership.

Residency Membership
Our current LSMS Resident Representative is Dr. Philipe Imholte. All Residents participating the Duluth Family Medicine Residency Program are active members in the Society.

Tilderquist Scholarship Fund
The Tilderquist Scholarship Fund was created to provide scholarships for students attending the University of Minnesota-Duluth Medical School. Starting this year, the LSMS (in collaboration with the Duluth-Superior Area Community Foundation) will award one 1st year student with a scholarship of $1000 to be used in their 2nd year of Medical School at UMD.

Our goal is to increase the scholarship fund so that we are able to offer more students the much needed financial assistance. Your contribution to this fund is greatly appreciated. If you wish to make a tax-deductible contribution to the LSMS Tilderquist Scholarship Fund, please make checks payable to:

MEMBERSHIP CHANGE REQUEST

UMD Medical Students
Our current LSMS Student Representative is John O’Neill He also serves as President of the Duluth Chapter of the American Medical Association, as well as an Executive Board Member for the MMA-MSS.

 All UMD School of Medicine students are active members of the LSMS, and are welcome to participate in any event of the Society.
